The Camino de Santiago-The Journey is the Destination

The Camino de Santiago is a 500 mile pilgrimage beginning in southern France, crossing the Pyrenees Mountains and the width of northern Spain, culminating at the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

For over 1,000 years pilgrims from around the world have walked this ancient path. Jeff Davidson will be sharing his experiences walking the Camino in June of 2015. 
 
Jeff Davidson is a 5th generation Marin resident. Born in Fairfax in 1960 Jeff moved to Novato in 1988 and remains a resident today. Jeff was a firefighter for 38 years, retiring in 2014 as Fire Chief in of the
Mill Valley Fire Department. Jeff remains active in public safety as an Adjunct Faculty and Program Manager for the Santa Rosa Junior College Fire Technology Program. He is an active member of the
North Bay Incident Management Team, serving as a Plans Section Chief. He is also a seasonal Fire Lookout for the Marin County Fire Department at their two fire lookouts Marin.
 
Jeff and his wife of 30 years, Leona, are co-founders of LifeSupportM.org, a non-profit that supports various service opportunities and youth engagement. Jeff’s primary focus has been on house building work in Mexico and since 1997 has helped to construct over 150 homes in Tijuana and Tecate.
